Over 80% of people will experience a mental health challenge in their lifetime, so why is accessing help still so stigmatized and archaic?
We are Orchid Health (Beam): a venture-backed startup building the mental health experience that the 21st century needs, and leveraging technology to bring it to life. We're building tech-enabled mental health studios offering therapy and emotional fitness classes in a thoughtfully designed atmosphere that encourages connection and community.
About the Founders

Orchid Health, Inc. (Beam) was founded by Alexa Meyer and Dr. Emily Anhalt, consumer and clinician who have experienced firsthand the need for better mental health experiences. They validated the need for Orchid (Beam) via Mental Health Pop Ups across the country.

About Emily, Co Founder & Chief Clinical Officer

Born and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley, Dr. Anhalt’s interest in the psychology of the entrepreneur began with the realization that “how you do anything is how you do everything,” and that the more founders and employees understand about their emotional tendencies, the more successful they and their companies will be. This unique perspective has led to work with some of the fastest growing technology companies and venture capitalist firms around the world.

Dr. Anhalt studied psychology at The University of Michigan and attained Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. She spent two years conducting qualitative research on learning and work styles, and has worked for nine years with executives, founders, and entrepreneurs.
